When we are faced with a health crisis, we often need to make changes that require our time, energy and effort. It can be very overwhelming especially when you don’t seem to have enough hours in the day already. However, we need to remember that our first priority in life is always ourselves. Then only are we able to give to others from a place of compassion and understanding.
My solution is to make a list of all the appointments/tests/consults you need to do. Then to set a deadline for them. Eg. Book 3 things in the next 4-6 weeks. There is always more than enough time to take care of the things you need to do for yourself. Do whatever it takes, however long it takes….just get it done.
